We’re thrilled to share a fantastic publication by M.V. Jongsma, MSc, dr. D.J. Scholten, A.H. Vuuregge, dr. ir. Y. Bollen, prof. dr. M. Meeter, and prof. dr. J.E. van Muijlwijk-Koezen from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. This publication highlights the impact of LabBuddy within their undergraduate biochemistry lab courses.

Their study revealed that students felt more engaged and better prepared for their lab courses after using LabBuddy’s online prelab module. Notably:

  • Students identified the preparation in LabBuddy as one of the key components contributing to their understanding of experiments.
  • There was a significant increase in lab report grades compared to the previous year.
  • Students were overwhelmingly positive about LabBuddy and demonstrated intrinsic motivation to use it for their lab preparation.

The study underscores the importance of fostering critical thinking and meaningful preparation in laboratory education – a mission we’re proud to support at LabBuddy.
